Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry of the Good Samaritan Baptist Church is listed under the sight and leadership of the Board of Christian Education. The Board of Christian Education is a board of dedicated, faithful, humble and willing servant leaders, who are equipped with the knowledge of the Word of God. These members operate in teaching of Sunday School classes for the Adults and the Youth of the Church.
Our Youth Ministry is dedicated to teaching the Word of God for the empowerment and Spiritual education and development of the Youth of today. Here at Good Samaritan Baptist Church, we have incorporated foundations that will keep the youth of Good Samaritan Baptist Church actively involved in the growth ad progess of spiritual development. These foundations consist of; our regular Sunday Morning Youth Meditiation, which takes place during AM Worship Service each Sunday Morning.
Youth Meditation is a time that allows our Youth a special ground to be taught and receive valuable words from scripture on the level in which they learn and understand. Each Sunday, a member of the Board of Christian Education, and/or Youth Leader will prepare a 10-12 minute mini-lesson from a biblical standpoint basis.
We also host our regular Friday Night Youth Services. In past, we have held our First Back to School Revival in September 2010. In October, 2010; we held our first Hallelujah Night The Truth Behind Hip Hop. Our Youth Night Services, are dedicated and designed to set a stage where our Youth can take full part in a live Worship Service. It affords them the oppurtunity to feel what leading a service is like, whether praise and worship, prayer, welcome address, ushering or scripture reading; we equip and prepare our youth to handle it all.
Our Youth also receive the space afforded to utilize these training skills on a Sunday morning worship service, each second Sunday morning of the month, which is designated as Youth Sunday. They also utilize these skills each Third Friday evening of the month, designated as "Youth Night".
